FAQs

Frequently asked questions:

Do you come to our house or do we come to your studio?

Cats almost always prefer their own environment, so I bring all my equipment to you. Depending on the cat I can shoot with either natural light (better for shyer kitties) or artificial light (good for treat-motivated cats who are more outgoing). I also bring backdrops, props and tons of cat toys and treats with me, so that we have all the tools to bring out the best in your cat for the photos.

Can you take photographs of other pets?

Of course! I’m happy to create portraits of any pets. I specialize in cats, but have also been contacted about dogs (particularly shyer ones) and a variety of other animals.

Can I be in the photos?

Absolutely! While the primary focus will be your cat, it’s lovely to have him or her interacting with you.

How much does a portrait session cost?

Check out the Pricing page for our packages and what you will receive with each one. If you are looking for something more specific email me and I’d be happy to offer you a custom package.

What if my cat refuses to be photographed?

It is very rare that this happens as I have a variety of tricks up my sleeve to coax even the most shy kitty into being photographed. However, if your cat turns tail and refuses to come out then I will reschedule your session for a different time at no extra cost. I want you and your cat to be comfortable as that’s when the best images happen.
